2014 is getting well under way and the first live event of the year went very well indeed, most impressive for a Sunday night in January. That said, there’s no time to rest and the fourth Bleak Metal Presents show is here!
Satanic Dystopia and their black thrash attack will be headlining the event and if their inclusion on 2013s Live Evil bill (handpicked by Fenriz no less) isn’t enough to get you interested, then make sure you check out their debut, Double Denim Shotgun Massacre immediately.
Recently featured on these pages is The Infernal Sea and as I enjoyed their output a lot while I was writing about them, I thought it would be fun to get them over to London as soon as possible. Praise Satan, they agreed.
Shrines are a new entity featuring Sam Loynes of Voices and were once upon a time named Diminished Fifth. A swift name change and some truly huge tunes later, they’re here to “bring the violence.”
Kicking off the evening will be Manchester black metal crew Under The Horns, a band wedged firmly in the raw, bleak style that we all know and love. Their tape A World Outside of Time can be heard here.
The show will be held at The Unicorn in Camden on March 28th. Entry is free and the booze is cheap. Come.
